Community Contribution Terms

Only adults aged 18 or over may contribute. Contribute while parked or as a passenger. Submit only observations or factual corrections you reasonably believe accurate; do not impersonate a Station or include personal data, private messages, or copyrighted third-party locator content in notes.

Guest session and limits

Accepting the in-app notice and starting a contribution silently creates a private Supabase anonymous guest session, without Apple or email sign-in. It is resettable, and a lost or reinstalled session cannot be recovered. The current limit is one report per Station per guest per 12 hours and 20 reports per guest per India calendar day. A new guest ID could evade these limits. Supabase throttles anonymous signups; later network-side abuse controls would require privacy review and notice. An optional on-device nearby check provides context, not proof.

Permission to publish accepted Station facts

By submitting a Station correction or nomination, you authorize OctaneMyCar to verify, edit for accuracy, combine with OpenStreetMap-derived Station records, and redistribute accepted factual Station information in the public Station Registry under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Do not submit material you lack permission to share under those terms. We do not publish your guest ID or private note in that export. Availability Reports are not included in the Registry export.

Moderation and deletion

We may reject unsupported or abusive submissions; Station corrections may be archived or revised. Deleting a guest session removes private identity links and notes but retained structured reports remain as Former Contributor until their retention period ends.
